Medically questionable procedure.

"Mutilation or maiming (from the Latin: mutilus) is cutting off or injury to a body part of a person so that the part of the body is permanently damaged, detached or disfigured."

History of Circumcision
this source disagrees.

“CONCLUSION
In every falsehood there's a kernel of truth. In his fanatical attempt to prevent children from masturbating, did Kellogg advocate circumcising boys? Yes. Was he responsible for the rise of infant circumcision in America? No.”

I'm not sure how you could prove it one way or the other. There are a lot of events that come about relatively during the same time period. World War One had a big effect as well. It could be post hoc, ergo propter hoc for sure. A lot may have played a role from going from around 10% of the American populace being circumcised in the 1880s to around 90% being circumcised in the 1960s.

This fine individual in New York recommends waiting to perform the circumcision until the boy is "old enough to feel it and realize it." His reasoning? To teach kids that "you have to be willing to spill some blood for allahs sharia."

Sometimes it's medically necessary. In those cases it should be allowed for the sake of being humane.

There are no health benefits for circumcision, its medieval and barbaric, its the 21st Century we should be well past cutting off parts of a mans organ for no reason! At the very least we should be letting the individual themselves decide, god doesn't want people to wear stupid hats, certain clothes or cover their faces! And he certainly doesn't want people slicing off bits of 'other' peoples bodies! Religion is NOT what god wants, its what men THINK god wants, that's why they are so different and so bloody pointless.
