Over the years, I have come across people on this forum and elsewhere claiming that a certain small, privileged group owns America or rules America and have rigged the game for everybody else. Some people say it's the top 1% or the top .001% or maybe just a few hundred individuals or families, high-ranking politicians, business leaders, etc.

So, I am wondering - What is your view on this? Please discuss and feel free to share any sites that you like.

I don’t think it’s a murky as some make it out to be.

Those who funnel massive sums of money into the political machine via lobbying, donations, etc are the ones calling the shots.

Put it this way: no one on CD has any ownership worth talking about.

I’ll leave it there. Lol

Exactly.

As the saying goes: "Money talks, BS walks."

Or as they also say: "The one with the gold makes the rules."

Then again many of those that you described tend to be White and presumably straight men.

If you have some time, a great YouTube vid worth watching is called Renaissance 2.0. It's rather long and when I watch it, I'll break it into parts. But Damon Vrabel does a very good job of being matter of fact on this topic. The beginning of the vid is kinda dry and talks about how money works but eventually he'll touch on "who really runs the world." Good stuff indeed.

That said, the real rulers of the world prefer to stay behind the curtain....

Etc

Anyone who thinks these billionaires are not involved in policy needs a brain implant.
Those people all have a seat at the CFR and other mucky-muck roundtables I assume, but they don't call the shots like the big banking families do. The people who control the money supply control America (and other counties) like a big cartel. These would be the families who have controlling interest in the Federal Reserve, The Bank of England, etc. Rothschild, Warburg, Morgan and a few others who are not really household names. And yes many of them are Jewish. There is a definite nexus there Mr. "2% of the population."

Yes! Much of the vid that I recommend talks at length about the banking families and the Rothschilds.

Koch Brothers, Waltons & Mars family are three of the largest....but there are others.

What has happened is these and other wealthy families have lobbied Congress over the years to make their wealth grow even faster -- tax cuts, breaks, etc. roll back regulations on the industries they are most heavily invested, etc.
