I take it you're never enjoyed target shooting as a hobby?? Or never bought a gun for self defense??
Target shooting? My hobbies are genealogy, painting, reading, swimming, walking the dog.
I don't need a gun for self defense. I don't drive into dangerous areas at night so why would I need a gun?
If you want the truth, I have never seen a gun except in a museum.
So, no. No to both questions. My grandfather owned rifles but he lived up in Canada and went hunting. And that was a long time ago too. I have nothing against men who want to go hunting.
Another gun free zone.
No one was allowed to fight back.
Right, the issue is this was completed in a gun free zone. It doesn't cross your mind that the availability of guns has anything to do with the problem. To you, the gun isn't the problem. Look at other first world countries that have strict gun laws an NO mass shootings. Do you see the connection?

The 12 people killed in the Municipal Building today in Virginia Beach, didn't drive into a dangerous area either. It was their workplace. In the middle of a downtown area in a modern city. Can you think of any reason why they might need a gun? Hmmm, let me think......

But guns are legal in those countries and people do have them.

If the killer hadn't had the opportunity to own a gun, to walk around carrying a gun, to walk into a public building with a gun, none of this would have happened. The problem is civilians carrying guns.
I have never in my entire life needed a gun. It was starting to get creepy before I retired with kids coming to school with knives and maybe even a gun. But I am retired now so I'm not in dangerous places like that. My town and the general area is extremely safe. We do not lock our doors. Maybe things in this town will change and it will become dangerous someday. But it's not dangerous here now and there is no crime. And, thank goodness, guns are rare and you can't walk around with a gun.
