Trump responded by criticizing Khan’s record as mayor and attacking him over his height. He also misspelled his name. The mayor is a Muslim and the son of a Palestinian immigrant.

“@SadiqKhan, who by all accounts has done a terrible job as Mayor of London, has been foolishly ‘nasty’ to the visiting President of the United States, by far the most important ally of the United Kingdom. He is a stone cold loser who should focus on crime in London, not me,” Trump wrote on Twitter as Air Force One was about to land in Britain.
“Kahn [sic] reminds me very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC, de Blasio, who has also done a terrible job - only half his height. In any event, I look forward to being a great friend to the United Kingdom, and am looking very much forward to my visit. Landing now!”

President Trump has been weighing in on British affairs for weeks now and criticizing Theresa May, anyone who opposes Brexit, providing unsolicited opinions on the leadership fight in the Conservative Party and declaring his favorites etc etc etc. Oh and don't forget his thin skinned dig at The Duchess of Sussex over 3 year old remarks she once made.
He's dishing it right back out to them. Can't take it huh?

Mayor can take his baby balloon and go home and hide under his blankie if he can't take what he dishes out.

She does, doesn't she. This type of visit is a really big deal. CNN did a lovely piece on how difficult it is for any first lady and explained how much effort Mrs. Trump has been putting forth in planning for this type of nerve wracking trip. Wishing her well and hope she can get a bit of pleasure from it.

The Mayor of London is a Far Left Radical, and makes his hatred of Trump well known through his public displays and commentary. I have NO problem with Trump responding in kind. Nobody asked the Mayor to be critical of a U.S. President. He brought it on himself.

Yep. He should have had more sense than taking on President Trump. Just getting what he deserves.

It's like those in the public eye want to put out their nasty comments about our leader and have no repercussions. Too bad. Life doesn't work that way in the real world.

He had also made a comment about Megan, then had to meet Harry. Whoops. Awkward.

Trump is the instigator with the Mayor of London.

He drew first blood.

Mayor never said anything about Trump until Trump attacked the Mayor every time there is a tragedy in London.

You are right -- life doesn't work that way. Trump 'started it'.

Yep, exactly. As usual, trump & his minions live in an alternative reality.
