Thanks for clarifying that gun free zones can work.

You could’ve just said “I know you are but what am I.” Obviously originality isn’t your forte.

You're welcome!

Great then we can have airport like security measures anywhere it's posted as a "gun free zone". Or even better yet everywhere we go. Anywhere where someone could possibly commit an act of mass murder. Have fun waiting and being searched from head to toe at the motor vehicle department or any other government facility. We can't forget about schools, sporting events, parades, movie theaters, bars, restaurants, hotels, trains, subways, buses, public parks, supermarkets, department stores and places of employment. Many of which are already posted as "gun free zones" but lack airport like security measures. We can have Air Marshals stationed there too. Not to mention video surveillance of our every move. Which also begs the question as to who will pay for it all?

Maybe we can have airport like security on every street of every town and city throughout the United States? We can surround every block and neighborhood with concertina wire with only one way in and one way out? Air Marshals posted at every gate. Maybe we should just subject ourselves to being searched and subjected to airport like security measures everywhere we go?

It's quite obvious that you lack the ability to differentiate between airport like security measures and places that are posted as "gun free zones" or places where we can freely come and go. Maybe you'll be satisfied living in a totalitarian police state? I certainly won't. Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Obviously critical thinking isn’t YOUR forte.

The enhanced security measures are both seen and unseen, and passengers flying to the United States may experience additional screening of their person, property, and electronic devices. This enhanced screening may result in extended wait times, and travelers are encouraged to arrive early for flights. There are no changes to items allowed in carry-on and checked baggage.--https://www.dhs.gov/aviation-security

TSA Security Checkpoint Guidelines - United Airlines

For international flights, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recommends arriving at the airport at least three hours before your flight if possible, allowing time for the additional security measures. Please note the airport check-in hours first. For more information, please visit the DHS website.

Airport security rules are cumbersome and ever-changing. Be prepared with updates on TSA rules and procedures and consider TSA Pre-Check.

Gun free zones that are controlled can work such as an airport. Gun free zones that are nothing but regulations and signs but no enforcement do not work because the perpetrators know they will not be checked.

"Suddenly cares about lives?"

Note the same who want MORE gun control seldom post about gun stories in cities like this:

June 3, 2019,"Chicago experiences most violent weekend of 2019: 52 shot, 10 killed"

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...19/1334351001/

And how much national coverage do stories like this really get from the MSM?

Yes... Only the military and police should be armed..

You do realize that will have a terrible ending right??

Airports as a gun free zone example only work because it is an extremely controlled environment.

He's being purposely dishonest in the argument.

In an airport There are multiple layers of security including, facial recognition, background check when buying tickets, presenting valid identification, armed guards/law enforcement, bomb detection, body scanning and metal detectors, physical Pat downs and strip searches and cavity exams among other methods.

It's completely insane to suggest doing the same for every public building.

Libs and their MSM friends ignore discussing and reporting Chicago crime like the plague.
