No, what's absurd is making laws against sexuality, inciting hate and bigotry against sexuality, and discrimination based on sexuality.

Celebrating that the world is moving away from that (in miles and in inches) and people can now be in relationships as openly/legally as heterosexual couples or identify as gay without feeling ashamed, is indeed something to celebrate.

No it isn't. When someone has been told by society that they are less because of their sexuality, that they should be ashamed, and they fight back by saying, no, I am proud of who I am.

The same can be said for being proud of any repressed group. Women, Blacks, Indigenous peoples, and others.

Anyone in those groups who felt that oppression and has overcome it, naturally will feel proud of who they are, and how they overcame the oppression.

I didn't see a lot of outrage, but I saw a crap ton of jokes. It was a very entertaining afternoon when this was trending.

I suggest a local college history class. It might enlighten you.

Well, it is a funny concept. I imagine a few paunchy guys wearing Ed Hardy shirts and a whole lot of AXE body spray.

Agree. It's more of " whatever " reaction.

Considering that PRIDE for a lot of people is the big gathering of the year for LGBTQ2.

For straight people...well you have...well every other big event.

Lol. They're proud of not being gay? Signs and floats or just marching in their regular clothes? Hey if they want to march down the street being 'proud' let them. I think they'll be laughed off the streets of Boston.

I wonder how, if this parade is about " heterosexuality " how they will keep the sexuality out of it?

I mean, isn't that what they expect for other PRIDE parades?

For those who confuse, sex, with sexuality, look it up
