There was a man (also Florida...neither helping the stereotype) who committed suicide when Obama won reelection. By your logic, that means Obama Derangement Syndrome is real, right?
...or, rather, does it mean that mentally ill people sadly do irrational things like these instances and they sometimes happen to center around politicians?
It's sad that people are using this woman who obviously has mental issues to make political points for their chosen leader. The woman did not just suddenly wake up one day and decide to harm herself because Trump was president. From the article --

I agree mental hospitals should be as prevalent now as they were 50 years ago, before libs forced America to let loony tunes like this woman out.
How is that any worse than committing suicide in protest of any other political climate? During the 1968 Soviet block invasion of Czechoslovakia, a student killed himself in public in protest of reinstatement of hardened communism in that country. I can easily imagine, for example, a repeal of the second amendment, at least a few gun owners shooting themselves to protest such a repeal. That would look just as crazy to "the left" as stabbing one's self over Trump looks to "the right". Who's really to say who is more crazy? Or even if it's crazy at all to do so.
Ridiculous comparison. Someone doesn't want to live under Communist rule is not even in the same universe as someone pissy that their lies didn't work and Trump still won.
If the 2nd were ever to be repealed, gun owners would not be shooting themselves.
