I don't care if Amazon sells Muslim prayer rugs, and I'm not offended if MACYs were to sell them. And I could care less about a Rainbow logo. (Another liberal trying to call bigot.....so typical.) I WOULD find it annoying if MACYs asked me for a donation at the POS to raise money for Muslim prayer rugs, and made a PA announcement about their drive for Muslim rugs every 10 minutes. Corporations should not be asking customers to support partisan causes that benefit a small percentage of people.
Oh really? How come you haven't mentioned red nose day? Does that fill you with rage as well? How about the bell ringers for Salvation Army that plant themselves in front of the entrances to grocery stores for a full month & a half around the holidays?
I think this is more prevalent in some areas of the country than others. But it is happening everywhere where I live, too. Pretty much all stores. Some all the time, some only certain times of the year for whatever drive they are doing. I would guess it is mostly in affluent areas where people are more likely to give to charity [hint]. Which may be why people's experience differ.
Not sure what the hint is. I do live in an affluent area, and I do give to charity. Doesn't mean I am more likely to give it to retailers supporting partisan causes.
So because a company chose to be inclusive and treat people that live different lifestyles than us as human beings is a reason to fly into a rage and denounce the whole company? I don't think so. You people need to lighten up and realize that those who are different have every right to live their lives exactly as they see fit, same as you and I.
