Did the earths orbit change in the last century to cause 1deg C warming, I thought this took time. Glaciers in Gacier Bay Alaska are also rapidly disappearing and permafrost is melting.

On the bright side the taxpayers get to buy new signs explaining the next date of doom so there's that to consider.

Every cloud has a silver lining...until that lining is melted by global warming.

There were over 100 glaciers in the park in 1910, now only 26. The rate of decrease has been accelerating and is well documented. Not all glaciers will be gone by 2030, but some will be gone and there will be very little left of the remaining glaciers by then.
The right wingers will point at whatever little pieces are left as proof that everything is fine because they didn't ALL melt yet.

So sad. Maybe you would like to go back to the last ice age. Climate changes, people adapt to it or not.

I have visited all of The Great Lakes and I didn’t see a single sign indicating glaciers were once there.

And the left wingers will never consider the possibility that even after they melt, everything will still be fine. It's like they never seem to notice that the warmer the earth has become, the more populous and widespread mankind has become.

I don't know about you, but we seem to be doing better as a species today than we did in 1910 even after apparently 75% of the glaciers at Glacier National Park have melted.

Climate changes, but is it man-made? No evidence to support that conclusion.
Remember, climate is what you expect. Weather is what you get.
Blaming every anomaly on AGCC/AGW is a sure sign of hoax.

FWIW - how does a "heat trapping" atmosphere result in a COOLER PLANET?
(Highest recorded temp on Earth : 134F; International Space Station max: 250F)

The even bigger debate is that even if we all agreed that GW was man-made, most of the developing world has already said "no thanks" to strict changes. On top of that, the Kyoto signers generally failed to meet their obligation while patting themselves on the back about their good deed.

Heck, the EU can't even get some of their members to meet strict financial guidelines for their shared currency.

As such, there needs to be a technological solution to the issue moreso than a political one because...well....for one more example, look who is on the UN human rights council. Yeah, that should shake anyones faith in global governments solving anything.

That's just an imaginary pipe dream. You need to face up to reality.

Mankind has become more populous and widespread because of industrialization, not because of warming temperatures. Mankind only thinks its doing better while becoming more lazy and weak as a species today than it was in 1910 because of increasing industrialization and technology.

What the glaciers have always done is provide a steady source of fresh water to recharge the earth. All industrialization depends on a ready and steady source of fresh water as part of its operations. No fresh water means no industry. Animals, plants and humans depend on fresh water to survive. No fresh water means no life.

When the glaciers are gone and the earth is scorched and there's not enough seasonal rain and snow to recharge the rivers, ground waters and aquifers then both the left and the right wingers will be scrambling hard and working themselves to death to build desalination plants everywhere on every salt water coastline around the planet. They'll all be having water wars over where the water pipelines will go and how much of that precious commodity can be rationed for each town in each location.

Nobody will have time or energy to speculate about how fine everything still is without the glaciers.
