I've yet to see or hear of people being thrown down and having fattening foods shoved down their throats.

Choices have consequences

That's why they drive or take the bus.

Supermarkets in a lot of places deliver. There are food trucks in ethnic neighborhoods selling produce. There are farmers markets.

If you live in a place where you cannot walk to the grocery store, you rely on other means of transportation. That's not an excuse for eating poorly.

He's admitted and agrees that he eats junk. He's not the kind to lead by example.

People in higher socioeconomic brackets have less obesity. Like many things, if you have education(I would include self education, too) your health is better off.

Yes, and it is possible to choose non-obesity. I lost 85 pounds 10 years ago and have mostly kept it off.

Fast in the morning. Drink coffee. Lift heavy weights. You can do it.

I grew up in the 1970's I think the reason everyone was thin back then no one was ever sitting there was nothing to do at home. We were out riding bikes to get places later when I got a job always moving around not sitting. Food was lot smaller portions large soda was 16oz small was 8oz. Today we sit watch TV, play video games, spend hours on the internet What do you expect people eat more and grow up doing far less.

Glad to know you didn’t bother reading the link. The study took into account lack of a car in the very definition, as well as bus routes.

The idea that you think there are farmers markets within walking distance for everyone in the country is literally laughable. And “ethnic”? Your bias is showing, many of those who suffer in food deserts are poor rural families, many of whom are white.
