while this bill has noble intentions, that of trying to head off infamous crimes before they happen. the problem is that this legislation will be used against the average law abiding citizen in ways we cant ever figure yet.
i do agree that this needs to be stopped in its tracks.
what we do need though is for LEOs to actually DO their jobs properly, and get back to doing real investigations, and not violating the rights of the people, in order to stop crimes.

One of law enforcements main duties, is to protect citizens rights....with this new technology...police should be VERY MUCH AGAINST IT.

while i agree with you, the LEOs dont seem to feel that way these days. remember that when these people pin that piece of tin on their shirts, they think they have power over the people, instead of serving the people. far too many of these LEOs let that power go to their heads, and they tend to stomp on the rights of the people. and the 5-10% of the bad LEOs ruin the job for the good ones.

LEO aren't trained to handle thoughtcrime... we'll need specially trained Thought Police to carry out TAPS.
