I actually like a high gas tax. It’s forcing the illegals and deadbeats to contribute to society whenever they fill up the tank and they can’t write it off on their taxes.
It also deters driving to a certain extent, reducing congestion.
Some of the roads in those low tax states are in deplorable condition.
As resident of SoCal, I can personally attest that despite our monstrously high has tax, our roads here are deplorable as well. And we can't even use bad weather as an excuse for it.
