Let's say anyone with student loans can apply they can have up to $60,000 to pay off loans by the Government
Going forward anyone enrolled full or part time in a college can apply for a voucher that will go directly to their college. Voucher pays for tuition and any other miscellaneous fees. Lifetime max for the voucher is $60,000. Have to complete the program unless for a hardship withdrawal. If you withdrawal, not for a hardship withdrawal, have to pay back 50% what you borrowed from the Government.
Legislation to work with banks in creating low fixed rate interest loans for college students.
Looks like Democrats are going to start introducing legislation prior to next year's election to make a statement that are serious about these expansions.
It's basically a game the Democrats are doing because they know that it won't pass the Republican senate and President Trump will veto.
Estimates are that this new scheme they are introducing in Democrats higher education package would have a price tag of 125 billion dollars a year.
They just want to manipulate desperate segments of society into saying look at your going to get if you vote for us in 2020.
Borrowers with a household income of less than $100,000 would have $50,000 outstanding loans "Scrubbed"
Borrowers would have student debt forgiveness all the way up to $250,000 annual income
The dems attempting to buy votes................... again.
The dems know this will fail and are introducing this legislation now to use as a campaign add to capture the votes of these students. Most, being dead beats, are already democrats, so they are not actually gaining votes.
Let's wait to see what other things in "the grab bag" the dems will be using as treats to entice the ignorant to the voting booths. Of course the dems know that none of these ploys will be implemented and are thus being cruel and cynical in a scheme to gain more power.
The dead beats with lousy majors and student loan debt is actually a good thing long term- it has convinced new students to choose better majors and avoid the mistakes of those who have incurred debt and cannot pay it off.
If the dems excuse all student loans, why wouldn't many people just become professional students and enjoy a life of partying, living off the government, and just maintaining grades to stay in school? Sounds like a bum's dream come true.

They are hoping the slobs are going to line up at the trough to get theirs. This includes illegals, who they hope turn out in record numbers in 2020.
I think sane people think this is nuts. Surely there are plenty of Democrats across the nation that think they shouldn't have to pay for a bunch of fools' rubbish degrees when they themselves never went to college.
Yes, there are plenty of Dems who don't support free college. There are so many 'extras' that come with college that you would be paying for, as well. For example, if someone can afford to be a fraternity and live in a frat house, why are they saying they can't cover their tuition costs? What about all those other clubs and activities they spend money on, and what about college students who refuse to work part time, even during the summer? If you cover the cost of their tuition, you essentially underwrite a lavish lifestyle in some cases. Even Bernie Sanders knows (deep down) that this is dead wrong.
