California isn't too bright, is it? Letting out all these felons, inviting hordes of illegal aliens, all while simultaneously disarming the populace.
I feel sorry for the conservatives in California, but have no sympathy whatsoever for the foolish, ignorant liberals who elected Democrats and made it happen.
No need to feel sympathetic towards the libs and Dems in CA., as they’re all pleased as can be about how this state is run. They think all this is great. Tons of illegals pouring in, free healthcare for all, free education, food, housing, medical, but all only if you’re illegal, and now felons on juries.
Wow before you know it, Dems will get all Constitutional n stuff and advocate restoring all rights to free citizens who aren't currently in jail or on parole.

Indeed. Utterly and unconscionably crazy, isn't it? Next thing that we'll see, is lawyers who were disbarred as a consequence of a tax-evasion charge get their law licenses back, or talented surgeons who lost their medical license because of a drug-conviction be allowed back into the operating room. Such craven refusal to pursue blood-lust! Emmanual Kant would be spinning in his grave.
Should felons be allowed for jury duty? Depends. Drug-related crimes are probably more tolerable. Violent crimes or sex-related crimes is a "forget it". Now, if the person was wrongfully convicted of felon, yes. Sure, even in such a situation the person's record could expunged from writing. However, they are still a felon in the eyes of people who think that person did the crime. Such people are who might vote against this cleared person from serving on a jury.
They're going to know the prosecutor, defense lawyers and the judges. They'll poo poo the expert witnesses.
They should be kicked off the jury in voir dire so what's the point in giving them jury duty?
