Why the military?

Why not slash the military budget drastically and implement a 5% federal sales tax and a small additional payroll tax?

We already pay more in taxes for health care most other countries pay in taxes for their national health care systems. But unlike other countries, we also pay sky high private premiums, co-pays and deductibles. That's how inefficient and corrupt our system is. There's lots of room for savings.

The solution is that they start with the Evil 1% and then they will work their way down the scale until they hit the Middle Class. I don't think the Dems will be happy until they have destroyed or discouraged the drive for success.

In my state Granny Warren and other Demmy do gooders are pushing for a wealth tax which means if you make a lot of money you will be taxed at a higher rate. There is nothing like discouraging success to eventually drive it to another state.

I really believe that the Left would be happy to support a welfare state.

They want the North American Union that's why. The rich will always have Switzerland, Luxembourg or Leichtenstein to flee to, or Dubai.

I know exactly what Bernie says and he pays for every program he supports.

I especially support his idea of paying for education with a tax on trades.

The question might be, why don't you want to pay for the military?

Either taxes go up, or you cut other programs. It could be either/or, and it would be bit of both. It could also be partially funded by alternate taxes like sales tax. Trump is hitting us with massive import taxes, and you seem to be ok with that.

Massive military spending seems like an obvious option. We are spending more than twice compared to only 16 years ago, and there is simply no justification for it.

Just borrow more, or print more worthless dollars. Both the Republicans, and the Democrats seem perfectly fine with that.
