Another Ca. city council votes on a political stunt to ban travel to states they disagree with on abortion laws

The authoritarianism overreach of the left never ends !!! It looks like they want to rule the world but turn their own state into a lawless homeless hell-hole !!!

Another California city looks to ban travel to Alabama over abortion law
https://www.al.com/news/2019/06/anot...rtion-law.html

Another California city is weighing prohibiting travel to Alabama and Georgia over each state’s tough anti-abortion laws.
The Long Beach, California City Council is set to vote on a measure from Councilwoman Jeannine Pearce tonight that would suspend all official travel to and contracts with Alabama and Georgia.

At least it's doubtful that California will ever become an exporter state for abortion. What a disgusting shame that any state leaders would want to set up their state to become such a state.

Meanwhile, phma, do you advocate pro life people should boycott Oklahoma because the state legislature there refused to grant a committee hearing for SB13, which would ban ALL abortions? That's the reason why you won't hear anything coming out of Oklahoma about prohibiting any abortion this year.

I advocate for Trump policies !!! They are most inline with my own views !!!

I'm not a fan of political bans as stunts, regardless of party !!!

When a city wants to create a ban on a state, out of state, its a political stunt !!!
Not much different than a mental patients cry for help !!!
What will the city council do next ? Cut their wrist ?!?!?!

These bans, far from a political stunt, can be damaging and therefore persuasive. Arizona has been the brunt of many of them from the MLK holiday pulling of the Super Bowl to the broad travel bans following the passage of SB1070 on immigration. Those bans hurt the state's tourism industry and ultimately led to legislative changes and a reluctance to get involved in the right's latest crusades such as bathroom bills and unconstitutional abortion overreach. GA, like AZ, is a state that is growing and trying to present a modern, inclusive face to the world. GA will be slowed in their efforts by these laws and the reactions to them. AL not so much. There are not too many conferences and big stage sporting events in AL. But still, there will be some pain for some.

The worlds leftist authoritarianism for global rule !!! The death of individual freedoms !!!

A worldwide scourge on democracy !!!

Hear their flowery words, comply and obey !!!

Its in your best interest to be a slave to the state !!! Minions of the collective, hear ye, hear ye

These liberal cesspools haven't passed resolutions like this regarding travel to places like Iran and other Arab countries, where gays are routinely killed for the crime of being gay and women are routinely stoned for things like adultery.

It's just more evidence that American liberals hate Americans who disagree with them more than they do totalitarian oppressive regimes.

Oh, and I've banned myself from non-essential travel to California. I have no desire to support a state that wishes to cede our sovereignty to illegal aliens and generally hates American values.
