There are no statues honoring Nazis in Germany. Germany knows better and strives to do better. In the South, there was no remorse and that lack of remorse was never confronted. The South was allowed to perpetuate the "Lost Cause" lie for the next century. Even today I see some people flying Confederate flags. I don't talk to said persons about it in person. I realize it's a waste of my time. Said persons want to keep doing that.
