I'm going to see D&C in Charlotte in a week from today. My expectations are not that high, but I figure the days of seeing Bob Weir are unfortunately probably numbered. (As far as post-Jerry configurations, I still like Furthur the best. Was lucky to see Furthur in Red Rocks and Radio City. Dead up and down the East Coast.

I read "Fare Thee Well: The Final Chapter of the Grateful Dead's Long, Strange Trip" not too long ago. Interesting about all that transpired after Jerry died, including mention of lesser known people who played with the the post-Jerry members of the band that I have also seen live on their own. I've heard some of these shows are pretty good, and the book highlights just how good some were, but since my wife is no big fan as already mentioned, and again without Jerry, I guess I lost interest.
Not too long ago we saw "War on Drugs" live at the Greek in Berkeley. Great band who, fortunately, my wife also enjoys. Go figure...
