That ship sailed long ago. According to most of the new coverage I remember growing up America already blames blacks for:

1) Blacks were responsible for welfare cost in America
2) Blacks were responsible for Public housing issues in the north
3) Blacks were responsible for the drug epidemic in America
4) Blacks were responsible for ruining sports for America
5) Blacks were responsible for police brutality in America "You asked for it"
6) Blacks were responsible for their own poverty from 1865 to 1980's, no such thing as Jim Crow
7) Black were responsible for poll taxes because most were not "smart enough" to know the issues
8) Blacks were responsible for the poor education provided to poor people
9) Blacks are now responsible for ruining music apparently, guess Old Town Road was too much

We are already blamed for everything so why not add another issue. The great scapegoating of Americas problems on one race will continue regardless.

It is refreshing to hear a guy like Owens speak his mind so truthfully.

When you think about the great strides forward that black people have taken since 1865 it really is amazing despite how the Democrats have tried to hold them back.

I was saying something similar when the Confederate statues were coming down. The Left painted them as signs of oppression but instead of oppression they should have been viewed as look how far black people have come, look how far we have all come since those early days.

They are not symbols of oppression but symbols of Triumph but no the Dems can't help but see everything in a negative light where the glass is not half full but it is half empty.

These Democratic candidates are full of crap. The fact is they can promise reparations all day long. They know it will never pass. They are trying to buy votes with monopoly money. Every 4 years they play the race card.

It would be ironic to also tax Blacks to pay for their own reparations, so I don't know how else they would do it.

True. I'm certain it's unconstitutional to tax based on race. So how about we do this: let's just tax everyone earning over $50,000 to pay for programs that help those earning less than $50,000, which would be disprotionately black.

Oh wait.....

A "reparations fund" can be set up where white liberals who think reparations are a good idea can voluntarily contribute funds at tax filing time. A social media campaign can be launched to encourage white people to #absolve their #originalsin by #givingbacktoblack

The fund should be run by a dark sinned black woman (you gotta be 3/4 black or better) who will disburse the funds based on percentage of black lineage.

Participants in #GiveBacktoBlack can be given a year-dated bumper sticker or decal for their car or bicycle, so they can virtue signal all day, every day. Year-dated, though, so you can't just donate once but will have to donate every year so people know how much you #amsorryforwhatpeoplewholooklikemedid200yearsago

The law won congressional approval only after a decade-long campaign by the Japanese-American community.

It's funny how the US was able to address the wrongs committed by our Government towards a immigrant group but we still can't do that with black America who are our citizens and a part of the American fabric since its founding.
The devil's in the details. While the money was given to people of Japanese descent because of a wrong committed to a group, the money was ACTUALLY given DIRECTLY to the victims, and only those victims. Not to every Japanese person living in the US at the time. And given 40 years later, not over a hundred years later.

And how would that money be disbursed? To anyone that is black? What about if they are part black? What if their ancestors came to this country via legal immigration, and not slavery?

I'm all for reparations paid out to each surviving slave. And any taxpayers whose ancestors were not in this country during the time of slavery, or whose ancestors during the time of slavery did not own slaves, would be exempt from having to pay anything towards that fund. That seems fair.

1. raise taxes on all citizens?

2. eliminate other expenditures to pay for reparations?

3. just print more money?

4. income tax relief/exemptions?

5. free education?

6. Suing Arab nations and black nations that sold slaves?

Everything costs money. With expenditures for something (particularly a very large expenditure), there would be a negative impact on US citizens or many aspects of the economy. Who exactly would pay?

What if the citizens not receiving reparations participated in "civil disobedience" and refused to pay? Who would enforce such a measure against a few hundred million people?

My guess is it would come from the same secret chamber where the GOP found a trillion and a half bucks to give to the top .000001% of Americans last year.
