The teacher reportedly told the kids “there is no such thing as girls and boys,” and “girls are not real and boys are not real.”
At home, the parents say, the little girl kept asking why her identity as a girl “wasn’t real,” wanted to go to a doctor to determine if she was a girl and said she wasn’t sure if she wanted to be a mommy.
That the subject was being drilled into their six-year-old caused concern, the family said.
This is Canada so what they do does not effect me in the slightest.
But if an American teacher or school district this kind of thing is up to that school district or school to deal with. As a strong believer constitution and Libertarian its none of my business what other places do.
The Toronto Sun is about as reliable a news source as the Daily Mail. In other words, it's a sensationalist tabloid. It is also right-wing, and makes no apologies for that. Given that I can find no mention of this incident in more reliable and trustworthy Canadian news sources (Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Ottawa Citizen, CBC, CTV, Global), it seems to me that the facts are not necessarily as reported, that a right-wing spin has been attached to the facts that favor the Sun's editorial stance, and that the Sun is making a mountain out of a molehill, as it so often does.
Nothing to defend, and I am pretty liberal on social issues.
There male and female. And some rare cases of hermaphrodites. But basically male and female.
If Janet wants to "identify" as Jan, the male, who cares. If Johnny now wants to identify as Joan, go for it. But don't tell us that there is gender or sex fluidity. Don't denigrate Jan and Joan for their choices, but don't tell us this is something normal.

Do you have any evidence that "the facts are not necessarily as reported?" What's it like, depending on left-leaning news outlets so much that if something isn't printed in one of their rags, then it doesn't exist?

Male. Female. Hermaphrodite. Period.
Just to add, the biochemical wiring of gender in a person's brain might not align with their physical gender.
But yes, there are two genders plus hermaphrodites.
