I work for a school district, and a couple of years ago we (staff) attended a mandatory seminar on child protection. Technically (to our surprise) we learned that poor/lack of hygiene is NOT considered neglect or abuse. We covered the different aspects of "child endangerment" and coming to school dirty and smelly doesn't even count as "neglect" apparently. Neither is being inadequately clothed for the weather.
That Time cover was a hoax. The little girl was never separated from her mother. In fact, her mother (who had been previously deported in 2013), took this little girl away from her father without telling him, dragging her thousands of miles from her home country. Her father hadn’t heard from the wife in over a month when he saw his daughter on the cover of Time.

I don’t believe stories from left wing news networks (CNN,MSNBC,etc). Very misleading. They’ll claim families being torn apart but won’t report the parent/s committed serious federal crimes. I’ve seen them do this numerous times. They believe their audience are a bunch of kids that are easy to fool.

Maybe some of these stories are wrong or untrue but, if even one child whose parent is seeking amnesty is mistreated in US custody, it is abhorrent. We are supposed to be better than this.
Until Trump gets his magic wall built, how about we treat the children of those fleeing violence and seeking asylum in the U.S. with some basic human decency.

Seems like that would be sufficient to provide the "Holiday Inn treatment."

I say give them shelter, give them food. Give them blankets, soap, toothbrushes and a safe environment, even access to TV. Tell them they will not be mistreated while in custody... but they will not be allowed to stay.
Remind them that whomever told them the USA was paved with free money and housing was lying.
Tell them how unsafe the USA is, because we have so many mass shootings, that it would be cruel to let them live here.
Point to the TV and show them who the President of the USA is and how they wouldn't want to live in a country led by such a bad man.
Put them on adequately staffed civilian or military flights back to their countries of origin.
The USA has enough non-english-speaking, low-skill, poor people.
There's no need for "concentration camps" if we get to deporting illegal invaders faster and more efficiently. Or... they could just stop coming.

As long as there are jobs for them we don't have enough. They can also pay for another generations SS. Someone is gonna have to. And it ain't gonna be wealthy English speaking high skill people. We borrow money to give them tax refunds, they don't pay.
You are misinformed. Their parents are experiencing unbearable situations in their home countries. They are doing what any parents would do - leaving those places in search of a better, safer life.
Instead of offering them asylum, this heartless president and his administration are separating these children from their parents and holding them in concentration camps where the children are denied the most basic of human needs, such as soap, and tooth brushes.
These children are being systematically traumatized, held in cages, and are sleeping on floors.
I am ashamed of this president and this country, We have reached a new low.
No one has a right to a better life by making bogus asylum claims or entering our country illegally. Most of these migrants are merely seeking economic opportunity on the backs of the U.S. taxpayer they aren't escaping violence. If so then why didn't they take up Mexico's offer of refuge?
Oh, stop with this separation of children BS already! It's been discussed in here numerous time and why that has happened. Stop with the concentration camp nonsense also. How do you provide basic needs to thousands that have crashed our border all at once especially when the Democrats have refused to allot funds to handle this crisis?
Nothing is being done differently than under the Obama administration but you lefties just choose to ignore that. They aren't cages they are holding facilities. When you are overwhelmed with that many people sleeping on floors may be the only option, temporarily. Sick of this bleeding heart nonsense while the liberal left ignore all of the above.
