I am sure he is cashing in on his time in Washington like everyone from both parties ends up doing. Biden did more than 50 speeches at $100k each or more since he left office. I don't even have to look it up to know Ryan is doing the same sort of thing. Our two party system...

As for why the rest of the GOP is silent, no one wants to get Trump's stink on them. Weasel Ryan has nothing to lose any more, but a lot of these guys will be around after Trump is long gone, and will have to deal with the fallout. They saw the sentiment of the country shift dramatically against them in 2018, mostly due to Trump. Who can blame them for keeping their distance? It's actually a smart thing to do.
Really--Ryans's like a kid who gets really brave with a keyboard. Odd he never said anything flattering while having to put up with Trump's immaturity and lack of knowledge.

What the Republicans are actually saying behind Trump's back is not flattering in the least.

Trump's ignorance, crudeness and bad judgment are why nobody is saying how great he is. Because he isn't.

That is false. Obama is a rock star with an over 60% approval. Most admired man in the world.

Trump can sign all the EOs he wants and have all the tantrums he wants. The next Dem president can simply reverse all of Trump's EOs, and then there goes his legacy.

Trump has abused power and debased the presidency to the lowest point ever. People do not respect him or the office any more. The guy is toxic.

Of course Ryan is exactly right. My question and the question of a lot of other people is, why won't Republican leaders like Ryan join in and help out with these fights?

The Democrat left's "Political correctness" and "Identity politics" agenda (they are integrally linked together) are the greatest political evils that our country currently faces and they are a direct threat to the core values, principles and legal foundations that our country was built on.

But Republican leaders will not allow themselves to be sullied by getting involved in these essential and critical conflicts. Ryan praises Trump for his efforts - from way in the back of the peanut gallery. What is up with that?
Well this is interesting.....

I assume every single Trump supporter here on C-D will immediately begin attacking Paul Ryan and insult him.

Yeah, "mostly due to Trump" because the house has never experienced a seat change following the election of a new president.

It certainly didn't happen in 2010, 1994 or 1982, when Trump was not president!
