Gee -- trans people are human beings, last I heard, and some of their fellow human beings might find them interesting enough to date. Humans are like that. I doubt anyone wringing their hands over this issue has ever met a trans person or will have to decide whether to date one.

Seems obvious that straight people don’t want to date trans. Most straight people don’t consider a man who pretends to be a woman to actually be a woman. A straight man does not want a man. On the flip side a gay man likes men. He is not likely to want a man who dresses up like a woman. If he did like a female appearance then he would be straight.

It looks like their dating pool is very slim.

I really don't know what is there to "figure out."

As for me, I get to a point where I believe political correctness is necessary in the dating department. (I am ONLY talking about myself, not everybody else) I don't want to tell people exactly why I don't want to date them, I'd tell them, "I have a boyfriend already" smile and move on. I certainly won't pretend or act like I am so much better than everybody else. They showed interests, well, no matter who, as long as they stay genuine and respectful, I don't think there is a need to be rude.

At age of 8, I knew I would marry a heterosexual hot Marine, this saved me a lot of trouble. MOST men and women don't feel what i say offensive, they just say "Oh!" and move on. so there.

As for trans, I don't know anybody who are trans in real life. If I met one, assuming he is so damned hot, still I'd pass. I want my own children (biological children) in the future, so they are out for me. Nothing personal.

Who is saying that they aren't humans? Gee -- beat up strawman arguments much?

I support their right to exist and have basic human rights. I've supported gay marriage since the 1990s - that is two decades before Obama did. I don't see anything wrong with saying I want a woman as opposed to a transgendered woman, so long as you don't abused the transgendered woman. Maybe you want biological kids, maybe you just like women with feminine features, maybe you like women who don't have penises...it is okay to refuse to date a person for being transgendered.

However, I have met a person who claimed it is prejudicial to rule out dating a transgendered person and compared it to being like George Wallace in segregationist Alabama. Look at what these psychologists are doing in the article...they are making it seem backwards to not date transgendered people. This push to make everyone feel perfect is going too far.

But ... you're being l-o-g-i-c-a-l, Meester Chung. And logic is discriminatory!

state why or why not?
Possibly. Any hint of manliness in face or physique would be a turn off but very feminine trans women do exist...
