You didn't seem to mind it when DEM presidents did it. WHY?
Well I sure mind when ANY president does it & we should all be worried about giving one man that kind of power when none of their kids have to go to war.

Trump doesn't need congress to approve a military strike on Iran !!! Defeat of the fearmongers !!!
Foolish amendment fails !!!

60 Yea votes needed and with 41 no votes on record now it can't pass.

Congress isn't known for quick action and sometimes it takes them decades before they act on something even when there is agreement on what should be done.

Senate to vote on requiring congressional approval for military strikes

The Senate is meeting early on Friday to vote on an amendment that would require President Trump to seek congressional approval before ordering military strikes. The amendment is not expected to get the 60 votes necessary to pass, but was forced by Democrats to get lawmakers on the record on the issue amid rising tensions with Iran.

It's really quite simple.

If the US started a rash war in Iran, they'd learn quickly that they bit off more than they can chew. Iraq was a cakewalk compared to Iran. Volunteer troops would be quickly overwhelmed, which would then force the resurrection of the draft, resulting in Americans being forcibly sent to their deaths.

Is there ever a time when Iran starts a rash war and bites off more than they can chew ?

If Iran were to put boots on the ground here after starting such a war would it then be time to consider doing something about it ? Is that what it would take for the US to avoid being "rash" ?

After 15 plus years we are still fighting that "cake walk".

Iran has made no indication that they want to invade the US. If anything, they just want the US to leave *them* alone.

That will happen about the same time Canadians attack us.
