It’s not just one event, it’s the frequency either way 114 degrees in France this time of year is on par with India.

How does the world leader “catch up” exactly?

But there seems to be some real cognitive dissonance here.

China bad because they use coal.
Therefore let’s use more coal, even if the market doesn’t want it and we agreed it was bad?

Shouldn’t the answer be let’s take measures to incentivize them(and ourselves) to transition away from it even faster?

did that...got the Tshirt

UN/IPCC was formed in 1988...that was their purpose

...and this is what happened when the UN/IPCC said they were all "developing" countries and could increase their emissions

this >>> http://folk.uio.no/roberan/img/GCB20...rojections.png

...the USA lowed it's emissions more than any other country

the vast majority of countries have increased their emissions

And rather than try to fix that we should increase our coal usage is the takeaway?

I don’t know how you we’re raised but justifying my bad actions because others were doing it too never flew with my parents.

We remain the #1 consumer of fossil fuels per capita, we have improved but there is a long way to go.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the LORD will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

...or rather than buying into some scam...we should do what's best for our country and people....just like China, India, and all the others

Gas is much cheaper than coal...and converting coal plants to gas is also cheap

We are producing so much gas there's no market for it..it's being burned off in the fields
...if anything, we will be converting to gas...not coal...and gas has much smaller CO2 emissions

We're not "increasing our coal usage"....we are increasing our coal supply line...we have one of the largest, if not the largest...coal deposits in the world

...the rest of the world is demanding more coal...not us..and we will be exporting it
