If Biden gets the nomination the VP pick could be crucial. If he's going run as a moderate centrist he should pick a running mate that's a centrist. I think he'd make a mistake if he chose a lefty like Warren. All that would do is shoot a hole in his credibility as a moderate. A good choice might be Klobuchar. As far as I have seen she seems to be somewhere near the center and frankly it wouldn't hurt to play the gender identity politics card and choose a woman. My personal choice would be Michael Bennet. A pro-business moderate that could help offset the age issue.

I totally agree with you plus his age has to be considered, so his VP choice is more important than is some years. Of course we all know the VP rarely makes a big difference in the overall picture. Regardless he needs to be very careful as so many are going to continue to support Trump. A sitting president is hard to beat. We saw that in 2012. I will add, which I have said many times, I really would not be at all surprised to see Biden not get the bid. Who will is very much up in the air and almost scary to even think about.

The nomination is Biden's to lose but he's shown that he's capable of doing just that.

Now he's defiant in running with a story he seems to have made up.

I honestly hope he wins the nomination. I believe Trump will eat him for breakfast.

"I honestly hope he wins the nomination. THIS is the guy you want!

Even the ultra liberal Wash Post say he lied.

"'My word as a Biden': Joe Biden tells a false war story on campaign trail"

"The story, though touching and based loosely on a real event, never happened, according to the Washington Post. "In the space of three minutes, Biden got the time period, the location, the heroic act, the type of medal, the military branch and the rank of the recipient wrong, as well as his own role in the ceremony," the Washington Post reports."

"Biden has told the story numerous times over years of speeches and events with varying degrees of accuracy. At his latest telling, he followed the story by telling the crowd "this is the God’s truth. My word as a Biden."
According to Biden, he had traveled to Afghanistan’s Kunar province to award the Silver Star to a Navy captain who had repelled down a cliff face to retrieve the body of a fellow soldier who had died. As Biden was pinning the medal onto the captain, the soldier begged him not to.
"He said, 'Sir, I don't want the damn thing!'" Biden said. "'Do not pin it on me, sir! Please, sir. Do not do that! He died. He died!'"

"Biden’s tale appears to be largely based off a 2011 awards ceremony in Afghanistan's Wardak province. The then-vice president pinned the Bronze Star on Army Staff Sgt. Chad Workman after Workman had attempted to save a friend from a burning vehicle.
Workman had ripped the door off a vehicle and reached inside to save his burning friend. He ultimately did not get his friend out of the vehicle "because he was melting," Workman said.
Biden described the ceremony in a 2016 interview with National Geographic, and Workman gave a similar account.
"You see the look on his face – he says, 'Sir, I don't want it. I don't want it. He died. He died. I didn't do my job, sir. He died,'" Biden said."

It occurred to me watching the clip on TCT last night: politicians are really just actors. In Biden's case, a really really cheesy, bad actor.

Politicians are all about putting on an act. Obama was fantastic at it, which is why we were "blessed" with his atrocious 8 years.

Yet you are supporting another paid actor? When it comes to bad actors, Trump is the worst of all. At least Reagan could stick to his lines and keep in character.

And Reagan was much better looking!

With few exceptions, politicians are like guilty teenagers: You can tell they're lying because their lips are moving.
