Trump's wall is officially a flop: Even Fox News now calls his big campaign promise a mistake
Not a single mile of wall has been built. And even Trump's allies are beginning to back away from the whole fiasco.
Despite staking his entire presidential campaign on the promise that he would build a "big, beautiful wall" on the U.S.- Mexico border and would make Mexico pay for it, so far, all his administration has been able to accomplish is the replacement of about 60 miles of dilapidated, existing barriers with new fencing. While Trump’s war on immigration has seen a clampdown on legal immigration by war refugees, asylum-seekers and high-tech workers, his battle against illegal immigration has proven fruitless. His wall is officially a flop.
What Trump should do is take a map of the United States and draw in a wall along the Southern border with a sharpie. Then he could say "mission accomplished". The Trumpies would eat it up. "See", they would say, "Trump is still winning".

An article from Salon! That’s not fake news or anything.

Meh.
Trump's wall is like Obama's Obamacare.

Once Obamacare passed, there was no way the Republicans could stop it. But if Obamacare had stalled out, there was no way the bill would have ever passed. The momentum to pass the Obamacare bill had to be constant to get it passed once the momentum built up.

Sections of MedicCare and MedicAid would have been tinkered with and replaced the Obamacare bill as a watered-down compromise.

Same thing with the wall. Trump couldn't keep the momentum going on the wall when he had the ability, so it stalled out. Now it won't ever get built.

Little bits of the wall will be extended on either side of the old existing walls in places, and the old wall will be replaced in other places, but his Grand Big Beautiful Wall won't ever happen.

It's like the old Roman phalanx. Once the wedge of soldiers was in motion, it could cut through all opposition. But once the motion stopped, the soldiers either had to retreat or die. It's a good tactic, but it didn't always work. No tactic works every time.

You can say that all you want, but you are incorrect.

I pray that we get a decent human being as our President in 2020.

But, enough about your Chicago Jesus …

Biden and Trump are both individuals who are not aging well. It is clear from their speech, brain freezes, slurs, etc., they are not fit for the presidency of the US. Age is what it is and these people poor souls have been greatly affected.

On the other hand Bernie Sanders, almost 79, is sharp as a tack. Bernie takes care of himself, eats a good diet and exercises. Bernie was a long distance runner and as I remember placed third in a race in NYC.

I believe it is time for woman president, and Elizabeth Warren is that woman. The best combination in 202O is Elizabeth Warren, president, Bernie Sanders, vice president.

If Warren gets the nomination she would be wise to pick someone closer to the center as her running mate. Two hardcore lefties is a recipe for defeat.

Yes, they may well be the best combination to destroy this country; then again, any of the idiotic democratic candidates will serve just as well.
Bernie is a quasi-communist nutjob, who never had a real job in his long & undistinguished life, and Warren is a hectoring, self-righteous hypocrite, an even worse version of Hilary, if that's possible.
