I'm still laughing at "...surfing in the Hamptons."

His father, Thomas Gilbert Sr., was a founding managing partner at Wainscott Capital, a lucrative hedge fund, prosecutors say.

Dang, so taxpayers have been on the hook for the guys allowance.

I do not see how you can possibly make any kind of logical analogy regarding a kid killing his father and the 'lower class' attacking the 'rest of us', whatever that even means.

This is simply a fantastic generalization.

We do not know this man. We don't know this family. Do you really believe he killed him solely over an allowance? Not an action deriving from some deep resentment and hate towards his family and/or father?

Every wealthy person who gets an allowance does not murder his/her parents. In fact, I would say the majority of wealthy people do not murder their parents if their finances are cut. I believe a lower class person might do the same if his 'allowance' or something else was taken away by his parents, emotional conditions were the same, and that parental hate is not solely the purview of the wealthy.

There appears to be a political agenda behind the OP sentiments. In general, I do not think this theory would fly in a methodical sociological study factoring in all controls and conditions.

Don't teach them to be entitled to other peoples money in the first place. They need to work to earn their money like everyone else.

You argue the other way, pay them not to harm other people. Now that's a sad way to think.

Nope. More ignorance on display...

What part of "realized a profit" are you failing to understand?

Why not? There are many examples of left-wingers insisting here on this forum that the taker class will attack the giver class if their benefits are cut or eliminated.

No, I don't. Everyone needs to earn their own (and their dependents') keep. Freebies should be abolished as they only exist if value is taken from some to give to others.

InformedConsent supports the shake down just like the mob did. Pay up or you get hurt.

That's the life InformedConsent advocates for hard working Americans.

I heard once that the average prison term for murder is 4 years. Time actually served, not counting probation, time off for "good behavior" etc.

Anyone know if that's true?
