It was historical, absolutely. Whether it was a good decision, I’m doubtful. During Trump’s and Kim’s brief words before press, denuclearization wasn’t even mentioned.
Cool photo op, though. I’m sure Kim will return, insult the dotard, and continue doing exactly what Kim wants to do. Yay America.
you prefer the Obama approach? just ignore the problem.... and leave a mess for someone else to clean up?
It's better they talk, and hopefully make progress to unify the peninsula than lob insults, threats or worse. It is obvious some Leftists will not give Trump any credit for anything even when he is doing potentially significant things for world peace.
North Korea has never been a threat to start with. I support a president engaging all world leaders so I'm fine with him going there but little has changed.

You are just being negative about Trump. Not surprised. Trump went from a Tweet to Kim to a SUMMIT with him in ONE DAY. To me that shows guts, and determination. Trump set himself up for the Media to KILL him if Kim refused, but the gamble paid off.
Maybe Kim will return to doing what he's done in the past, especially what he's done to past Presidents, but at least for most of the Trump Administration he hasn't been threatening nuclear war, and is talking positives.
Another grand photo op for his majesty at the expense of all those brave men who put their lives on the line to repel the communist North Korea
Sorry, but what the heck are you talking about??!! As a retired Army Combat Arms Soldier that served in South Korea in the mid 1980s and fought in two wars, I'm glad that Trump did this since it lessens the chances of a shooting war.
It seems that the Far-Left is itching for a shooting war that they will refuse to fight in... So in that case, the Far-Left needs to lay down and chill out AND give peace a chance or man-up/woman-up and enlist in the Army or Marines as a Tanker or in the Infantry to be in the thick of it.
Seriously, the country is out of whack... The Right wants peace and the Left wants war... Something is seriously wrong since everybody assumed it was the other way around.
Unprecedented, and could smooth the way for helpful talks in the near future. The president assures us he gets along well with Kim, Erdogan, Putin, and similar others and that it's a good thing because otherwise we would be at war "and that's a certainty". "It's a great day for the world."
If this is not an impeachable offense, I don’t know what is.
