Looks to me like a great idea.

I wouldn't want to do it now, but that would've been a good option for me lots of times when I was young and had no money.

Right now in most of the U.S., we've made it illegal or marginally legal to live in any situation that isn't up to comfy middle-class standards. Which is ok if you have a middle-class income. But millions of Americans don't have that and never will.

Cheaper housing options are needed. They're not going to be up to our middle-class standards. But it sure beats living in your car.

Thieves and rapists tend to mess this stuff up.

Had a friend who lived in his car, it got towed with all his things in it. He ended up living in a park and went to jail for beating someone up.. Obviously Not a very responsible guy..

^Agree with Turkey-Head about the paucity of solutions for lower cost housing options in the US.

Finally, it looks like modular housing is getting more traction. This article is about a new 111 unit modular apartment getting built in LA's Leimert Park neighborhood.

Unlike the PodShare units you actually get your own private unit which I think is a major advantage.

This would be a great idea as long as they provide free vending machines loaded up with booze and heroine. Keep on enabling them. Wonderful idea.

I wonder what the nightly rental is? Looks like it would be a cheap place to stay when I'm motorcycle touring. Gotta wonder how well the tenants clean up after themselves.

OK, finally got to the part of the vid where they talk about price. $40-50 a night! I think I'll keep using my tent and camping. $1200 a month for a bunk bed-quite a racket to run.

I like how the open borders crowd fights to fill our apartments with illegals and the bleats about a lack of affordable housing
