No he hasn't, and Putin's #1 priority is MONEY. Our energy policy is killing them. You'd have to be ignorant, blind or a brainwashed Democrat to not see that. Maybe all of the above.

I was honest and recognized that I overstated. My time in the service was 80's thru early 90's. My data was old, but not completely wrong. I proved yours was wrong. Russian ships have visited Cuba and at least until the 90's was one of their favorite ports. Hell it would have been one of mine too.

So which is it. Trump is Russia's puppet or he is antagonizing them. Who can keep up with hardliners?

Yes because calling out freeloaders is bad. Germany didn't like being called out for not honoring their commitments. None of the freeloaders did. Trump is wrong for many things but not that.

There are plenty of other minerals in Russia besides Oil and Gas....and, I'm sure China and some others are happy buyers anyway.

Do you really think Putin and the 100's of oligarchs aren't still squirreling away billions worldwide? Of course they are. The money they are losing on lower oil and gas is hurting the common person there...as usual.

Putin wins no matter what. Short of being hung or shot. He and his friends will be able to live in London, NYC, Miami, Zurich or wherever else they desire once the next revolution starts.

They have already offloaded more money than any of them could spend in a lifetime...so now it's just "Mafia Fun" to see how long they can make their crimes last.

Let's at least be accurate here.

They were formerly an ally of the Soviet Union, a massive power with 300 million people.

Now they are friendly with Putin and the new Russia - a place with less than 50% of the population of that former nation/state.

Being as it's a great location it would have been a very smart move for Trump to continue the opening up of US-Cuban relations...especially since we have so many of Cuban heritage in this country. Our Farmers and other trade based businesses were really loving it.....and tourists also.

There is/was absolutely no reason for Trump to reverse course. But he did. And now Putin will be even more respected and loved there and Russia will be able to "trump" the USA in terms of Cuban trade and relations.

That is not a good thing, IMHO. Trade is what creates peace and understanding. Back in the old days - like 10 years ago - Republicans used to tell me that all the time. Now they don't.

The Russian navy over the years has been a major contributor to artificial coral reefs. I'd give them more credit for it but it's generally been unintentional.

You will have to scroll FAR down to even get to 2016.

Trump excused a few of them recently - didn't he let an Oligarch open a new Aluminum smelter in KY....let me look that up....

Yep, Trump "lifted sanctions"...
https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/15/busin...ill/index.html

"the US Treasury Department in January lifted sanctions on Rusal, En+ Group and another firm with links to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska."

"He had a business relationship with Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who has since been convicted of tax and other fraud charges connected to his work on behalf of Russian-aligned Ukrainian interests.
Democrats have objected to lifting sanctions on Rusal and other Deripaska-linked firms"

So what were you saying???

Please...read. Be informed. Obviously Trump can't be too blatant when investigations are going on all around him including some with pleas and convictions. That would seem obvious. But he's doing what he can....
Remember that time he sold the Russians 20% of our strategic uranium reserves? Oh wait-that was Obama and Hillary.

Well, there was that time his spouse got $500,000 from the Russians for a half-hour speech. Oh wait-that was the Clintons too.

Oh, I remember, there was that time Russian oligarchs gave the Trump foundation $145 million. Oh...wait again...

Latin American Herald Tribune - Russian Navy Ships Arrive in Havana, Cuba
The article is wrong, russian ships have been visiting on and off since 2008. Even last year there was all that hype over the Russian spy ship there.

We all know the reason: The orange chunkmuppet cannot abide the idea of an Obama policy surviving.

Of course, even Republicans seem to have realized that the "But Cuba jails dissidents!" talking point has evaporated when Trump is busy schmoozing North Korea, of all places.
