So much is contact with the road the weight is probably not much of an issue, turning it would be. I'll take a guess they will be on transports and not actually driving down the streets. The Osh Kosh transports are impressive themselves.
They have a far lower ground pressure than wheeled vehicles-that is the whole idea behind tracks-and why tanks can go in sand, dirt, mud and snow when a wheeled vehicle would sink. And the tracks are equipped with rubber pads that protect the pavement. They have been used on the roads in Europe when training and in war games all through the cold war. I might be wrong-but would expect that the transports would do more damage to the roads (due to the more concentrated loads) than the tank tracks. Tanks are carried on transporters not to protect the roads, but to protect the tanks. Tank tracks get a lot of wear and require a lot of maintenance when driven any distance.
Now, I want to know where I can buy me a brand new M4 Sherman. I'll take one with the 76mm please.

The problem with tracks on paved roads is when it becomes time to turn the damn things. There is no way to do that without having sections of track move sideways, and that is exactly as bad for the roadway as one would imagine. MBTs on public roads ( outside those built for the purpose in places like Grafenwohr) was a rarity, even when the cold war was hot.
Anyway, common sense has broken out and the tanks will be on static display.
Where did Sherman come from? Terrible tank from WWII. The Germans called them Zippos.
Because they were easy to make catch fire.
I see Abrams as a possibility. Bad for the roads tho.
