So, I was wondering, we have democrats who want to tax fattening foods like sodas because it's one of the root causes of our obesity epidemic, but at the same time, they also want fat people to be accepted like the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Ashley Graham.

What's with these double standards? With democrats being all about the environment, universal health care and well being of everyone, wouldn't they also want to make sure that we are not glamorizing obese people, since it is very unhealthy to begin with?

Liberalism is a mental illness. Not sure why anyone is surprised about anything that comes out of their mouths. Forming coherent sentences is difficult for them let alone a stream of reasonable and logical thought.

What is your plan, to not tax fattening foods and fat shame children?

Democrats tax. Republicans borrow from China.

They gravitate toward contradictions. They are leaves in the wind as they mindlessly blow to-and-fro.

Well, taxing fattening foods didn't help much, because only thing people did was either go to another town that didn't have a raised tax, or stop eating/drinking altogether. And fat shaming, no, but education and telling the truth is a good way to start. The USA is the laughing stock of the whole world when they put up the fatties go on an adventure in Walmart.

So it's bad to want to try to incentivize or promote healthier living but also not fat shame people? Someone can think way too many Americans drink soda and that it's unhealthy (because it is) and want to tax it (neutral on that, personally) but still think that "fat people" are humans who deserve respect and to not be put down or ostracized, which may cause them more problems and make them less likely to get out there and get healthy, if everyone is judging them.

This is a dumb thread. You're really reaching.

I don't think they are so enamored with the fat man in the White House.
