The truth hurts of course. But the reality cant be denied. Its absolutely absurd to claim that 15% GDP growth over a ten year period is "an amazing economy" when its one of the weakest ever combined with sky high inequality.

You would agree if Obama was in charge, so why attack the working class for being lazy just because Trump is in charge?

If so the MSM is misrepresenting some statistics there.
FRB has done an annual survey since 1962.

Other recognized studies conducted over decades show a declining middle class. The share of US adults in the upper income tier grew more than those in the lower income tier.

There are many sides to stories.

The below has always been true. Even in the 50's, 70's and 90's. Many Americans would always hurt due to these factors.
In the south, “Deep South” there’s a town that close to Florida, cost of living there is cheap for the most part and a GOOD job there pays $9-10 an hour. Even in a town such as that you can’t support your family on those wages.

Stupid and/or lazy people will never earn a "good wage".

"Sure, I could earn $20 an hour as a painter, but that would mean I'd have to work hard and show up when I'm supposed to. Fuuuuck that."

Everyone was not dirt poor in the 1960s and everyone was not dependent on "government handouts".

The reality is that economic growth was three times higher in the 1960s and the proceeds of the growth was equally shared among the classes.

And no, it was not because the rest of the world was destroyed because of the war. Thats a myth. Europe had recovered only 5 years after the war ended, in 1950 and was booming all through the 1950s, let alone the 1960s.

Then Wall Street had enough, labor unions were crushed, big money in politics mushroomed and inequality started to skyrocket from the late 1970s onwards.

By that logic, there are a lot of stupid and lazy people in East Asia, where people work like dogs and study 12 hours a day because alot of them still end up with terrible wages and benefits.

So no, the reality is this is not about stupid and lazy workers. Thats just a talking point pushed by the ruling class.

East Asia isn't filled to capacity with opportunity like the US.
