Having read prepared, historical points while occasional planes flew overhead and playing old, recorded tunes, it was not impressive or necessary. (I frankly can't stand the controlled tone in his voice and his squinting to read prepared material, attempting to perform in a particular way, but this is what he does when being unnatural. We have seen it on occasion, but this is how his speaking modes might be categorized:

* Official mode: Reading from a Teleprompter, something written for him, "acting presidential", performing, holding back.

* Going through the motions: While speaking from the Oval Office or when meeting officials in a more controlled setting, as he will utilize limited phrases and words that he thinks makes him appear responsive and knowledgeable.

* Rally mode: When being himself, defending, yelling out complaints, criticisms, lies and name-calling. Similarly, if responding to questions when asked by reporters, being dismissive, denying, unpleasant.

And here you go folks.....he did right, but he is still doing something that made me mad....so I'm going to bash him anyway, because he could have done it, but did not.....

Sad that posts like above are even written.....

Trump failed to check the speech before he read it.

Trump now looks like a man who has no ability to recognize errors. No concept of reading comprehension.

Trump actually looks in worse shape then before the election.

Poor Democrats. They are doing every single thing they can to find fault at 10s of 1000s celebrating the 4th of July. They really hate the United States. It's nothing but hate, hate hate.

These people know better. (WOW that was a YUGE event)

Well, he doesn't read or comprehend and everything is prepared for him. (Who's the puppet...?)

Just because his speech wasn’t political doesn’t mean the event wasn’t, how long do you think his unity pledge will last. He didn’t belong at this event but glad it went well.

There was overlap with the fireworks and Capitol Forth music event.

Trump tried to use already established events to prove how much he is loved. Trump is politicizing the event with each tweet about it.

Each time it's a fundraiser for those who fall for his con.

Meanwhile the UE has started going in the wrong direction.
