DACA has also been a huge magnet.

Sneak your kids across the border and it's your Golden Ticket into the US. They and you will never be sent back home.

Plus they will get Govt Benefits and promises of Health care and schooling.

It appears after all, Obama did lie.

I am a lifelong Democrat (Gen X'er).

My senior citizen mother has voted for every Democratic candidate for President from JFK to the present.

I AGREE with Jeh Johnson. The position that many of the "D" candidates are taking on immigration is just nuts. WTF are they even thinking?

Might as well just concede now because this sort of positioning will NOT win in Nov. 2020.
No kidding, but I do thank you for the post.

President Obama’s immigration policy revolved around his promise to Hispanics, that he would “guarantee” an immigration bill within the first year in office.

Never in American history has a president abused his immigration and deportation powers as President Obama did during his presidential reign, consequently his commitment towards a sensible and secure immigration reform policy became the elephant in the room.

Obama was not a magician who could just wave a magic wand. He was President. Not his fault Congress had ZERO interest in immigration reform.

He never tried. To try and fail is one thing. To never try and lie is another. Paul Ryan had little to absolutely no say in what Obama and the (D)'s did during the time frame of the promises Obama made.

Barack Hussein Obama squandered his political capital on obamacare. He had the votes and capital to get immigration reform done (including a filibuster proof Senate majority for a little while) but chose other things. Don't give this fraud an excuse.

That is fair to say as he didn't take a shot at it in 2009 and 2010. Of course, Obama and others in his administration say the severity of the Great Recession when took office forced Obama to shift his priorities and spend much of his first year seeking to stem massive job losses. Health care reform is a heavy lift and took up a lot of time as well.

He guaranteed to Hispanics that he would address it in his first year and he knew what was what.

I've said it many times. If President Obama would have been the person Candidate Obama said he was going to be, there is no President Trump today.

Not only do they want open borders, but they want to lure in illegal immigrants with free health care.

Don't we want those who prepare our meals and process our food to be healthy?
