Posts like this are ridiculous. People in San Francisco are just like anywhere else in America - they are working, paying bills and taxes, raising their kids, trying to enjoy life, dealing with political issues, etc.
Focus on other issues than blasting an American city.
But, but that's not what gets votes from the simple minded. You gotta be dissing someone or something to identify with the lowest common denominators among you.
Instead of seeking the respect and admiration, along with the resultant votes that would of course be an adjunct of the intelligent and reasonable members of the electorate..... go for the bottom of the barrel instead, they're all clustered down there whining away, ripe for easy picking.
You can always find any number of malcontents just waiting for someone to come along and lend legitimacy to their faux outrage.
The whole Bay Area (which includes San Jose, and San Jose is larger than San Francisco) is over 5 million people, but San Francisco has just under 900,000 people. The only major American city with a population of over 5 million is New York.
So what's your point? A generalization of a large area is a generalization.

Like the idiots who want to paint over the Washington mural?

Even Moderates and Undecides are getting sick of this crap, and things like the American flag being racist. The Democrats are so far left, and anti American they are starting to eat their own.
They hate our past and our founding fathers but they love their pedophiles.

San Francisco will spend up to $600,000 to paint over historical artwork at a public school depicting the life of George Washington, a mural once seen as educational and innovative but now criticized as racist and degrading for its depiction of black and Native American people.
The problem with San Francisco is extreme capitalism brought about by the tech industry, which also created a lot of high-paying jobs and boosts the economy of both California and the US.
There is a really excellent documentary running on HBO - 'San Francisco 2.0,' which explains in depth the modern development of San Francisco and the history of the city. It is pure and simple capitalism that has had the biggest effect on the city of late.
Murals were painted over due to development, not because of the content--not that it makes it right, but at least let's be honest and objective regarding the reasons it is happening. It has nothing to do with hating America. That is in fact irrelevant to the story of the city. It is more about being independent than about hating the country.
Of course, those that insist everyone think alike are making it about that, but that is mostly anti-liberal fiction. Partisan hate just clouds the reality of how and why San Francisco has actually developed over the last 50 years.
Some things have absolutely nothing to do with allegiance to the State. To try to characterize the totally explainable evolution of San Francisco as caused by "hate for America" is rather absurd.
By the way, the whole region is sandwiched between the San Andreas and Hayward fault lines, both overdue for a very strong earthquake.
Perfect example of sour grapes; someone who calls themselves a "master programmer", who trash talks Silicon Valley. LOL.
And that's what's really going on here. There isn't a hater in this thread who could afford to live here. And guess what? We couldn't care less about your opinions. Stay away, you're not wanted.
