Men have fought a disproportionate number of wars in our nations history. In the interest of fairness to all we should draft predominately women and they should serve just as men have done.
Would you like to see your daughter/granddaughter in a combat infantry situation? Think about what the hostile dirt bags would do to her if she were captured.
"Equality" should never prevail over common sense.
The draft has not been active for decades.

The ERA wasn't ratified by enough states in order to be a constitutional amendment.
Just FYI.
I'm torn - technically I think it's fair for women to have to sign up for the draft - but then all the men on here are saying how they would screw everything up.
So there's no good answer.
"The ERA wasn't ratified by enough states in order to be a constitutional amendment."
I was referring to the Equal Rights ACT! Just FYI.
I get that the draft is very unlikely to happen or be used, but in principal, do you think in this world of equality, just like men, it should be asked of every woman who reaches 18 to sign up for the draft? Not that I am for war, but given how much women want to talk about how they are worth much more than having children and there are over 7 billion people, would it not mean women can risk getting shot/blown up etc. just as much as men?
What does the military draft have to do with loan balances?
As HAS BEEN EXPLAINED, THERE ARE NO SUCH THINGS AS "non-combatant roles".
Combat may not be your primary role butt hat does NOT say you will NEVER have to pick up a rifle or fire a machine gun, etc.
Did you see the movie Pearl Harbor a TRUE story, where a cook went out and started firing a machine gun at the *** airplanes?
"Marvin Glenn Shields a Construction Mechanic, (December 30, 1939 – June 10, 1965) was the first and only United States NavySeabee to be awarded the Medal of Honor. He was also the first sailor to receive the Medal of Honor for heroism above and beyond the call of duty in the Vietnam War.

Yes, now that women are allowed in combat they should be obligated just like men to register.
What this has to do with "how much women want to talk about how they are worth much more than having children" or what that even means IDK?

I wouldn't want to see my son in a combat infantry situation either.
My children's father was in the Army, which is why none of them will ever voluntarily sign up. They know how awful military service is.
The draft will never be instituted again, so the requirement to register should be abolished. But until it is, absolutely, men and women should have an equal obligation to register.
Why do we need the Equal Rights Amendment? What rights don't women already have?
I didnt say we needed it or that women didnt already have equal rights, just saying it was never ratified for those that would chant Equal rights amendment all the way!
