It's a self-deprecating name to begin with. Confederate railroads were notoriously problematic; the track gauges weren't uniform, so hauling cargo from point A to point C often meant unloading and reloading at point B because the train that started out from point A wouldn't run on the tracks that go to point C. Plus all the parts were made in the north so if an engine broke down during the Civil War they were just stuck. Basically it was a clusterf***,

Cluster**** Railroad would be a great name!

Been going since 1989.Never heard any complaints about the name(I'm a fan).Maybe because there are few snowflakes in the heavy rock crowd?.

Maybe because the band is named after the founder, George Lynch?

Odd that some of the same people who say bakeries can deny service to gay couples just because don't think the state fair can restrict a band because of their name? Now personally, I think it's a bit silly. Did they not know the band was Confederate Railroad before they signed them? CR has been around a long time. But if they got enough push back on a band named Confederate Railroad playing their fair, it makes sense to ask them not to come. Pretty sure CR is happy with the press. They're getting more of it now than they would have just by playing

Unsurprisingly, the board's left wing posters are conspicuously absent from this thread. They never want to acknowledge the ridiculousness they cause and support.

I have to wonder if Tech9 is getting any blowback for having a gun based stage name? (Serious question)

On a joking note, Would be funny if NWA got back together and got boycotted for having the N-word in their acronym.

Yeah, but those involved in the boycott would be called racist.

Or no one is commenting because its so ridiculous. As my boss says during meetings when no one says anything: Silence is agreement.
