Does anyone honestly believe that Warren will beat him in the general?
Biden is done, he was never going to be the "candidate". He and HRC would be playing the "third times the charm" card.
SO, the only viable candidates at this moment are:
Biden - just as bad, if not worse, as HRC. Done, never going to happen.
Warren - Spent her adult life lying for personal gain (the ultimate identity thief), and is so far left she is the favorite of Democratic Socialists over Bernie because she is, well... a she.
Sanders - Grandpa Bernie is too angry, too old, and too white. A straight white old socialist isn't what the extreme base, which controls the Democratic Party, demands. He's screwed, AGAIN!
Harris - Even she is too much of a hypocrite for the Dem's. That's saying A LOT! She will never get above 7-8%. She's done.
Gabbard - who I REALLY LIKED, has completely come off the rails acting as if she is siding with Iran under the guise of caring about "what's best for America". She has so squandered the chance she had with Independent Moderates like me.

I just don't see a path to the Whitehouse for any dem at this moment. Things could change, but change is slow and the Dems have proven they learned nothing from 2016. 2018 is what they have used to justify their disconnect, but disconnected they are and continue to be.
