You and I agree on almost nothing. However I 100% agree with you. Most times if someone was respectful I let them go with a warning. However if someone was argumentative, made threats I always wrote them. That being said when dealing with a judge or a politician if you are cop you better tread lightly.

Looking further into it the explanation was that he was following to closely. He probably rode up the officers ass. Blew his horn and was pulled over. The cop was in an unmarked vehicle so the judge had no idea who he was doing that to.

No but they can ********* on your job. Mess your whole career up. If I had a dollar for "do you know who I am" I would be a rich man. However there are people powerful enough to destroy a cops career. A President Judge is one of those kind of persons. Thankfully cops have body cameras now. Before that it would be the judge's word vs the cops. The cop would lose!

Kinda like cops can do to prosecutors jobs?

But I agree, video camera's are good.

Tailgating is a legitimate reason to pull somebody over. It wasn't just about the judge blowing his horn.
