In my opinion Trump is a poor man's Perot.

Perot was a better person, a man of integrity, and a much better businessman. And he would have made a great president. He got my vote twice.

I voted for Trump in 2016 because he was anti establishment and anti Clinton. Trump will not go down in history as a great president, but he's doing a decent enough job.
Are you voting for him in 2020?

Perot would have made an excellent President IMO, if elected in 92 we could have avoided a lot of job loss and unnecessary federal spending. It was an opportunity to change our national direction and we blew it. Now we have 20 trillion in debt, massive foreign trade imbalances and all of Perots charts seem to have come true. President Trump is trying to fix the trade problems but they are 30 years in the making and just a huge monstrous problem that may be bigger than one presidency.

RIP Ross Perot
Perot was from a different era. If he had to endure the mudslinging and daily character assassinations the Leftist/Democrats are doing to Trump, Perot no doubt would have taken to twitter today too to defend himself.

You can't be gentlemanly if the opposition plays dirty. He'd have no chance against the Left if he was the Perot of old. He'd be looked at as weak. See Romney.

Trump is doing exactly what he needs to do against such ferocious and hateful Leftists Democrats.

Team Blue is going to have to retract anything good they said about him immediately after his death.

Should be fun to watch.

Probably, but not guaranteed. I'll never vote democrat however. It's either a Trump vote or I stay home.

If you stay home, that'll be like helping the Democrats.

Wasn't Perot Trump before Trump was Trump. Most common criticism of Perot was that he was in it for his own self advancement, etc His own party accused him of that.

I do not speak ill of the recently departed, but I do not think the following would be considered having done so.

Though I do not harbor any ill will toward Perot, never forget that he likely caused us to get Bill Clinton as president, rather than having Bush re-elected.
In modern day terms that means we still feel the effects of decades of Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Stephen Breyer on the scotus (not to mention all sorts of other leftist/liberal federal judges).

I guess it would be cool for all the leftist kooks who would love to see a wacko leftist Democrat win the election in 2020.
