^The OP got it completely wrong. He didn't read his own article.

It clearly states that DC will get the money from their normal payment from Congress. The idiotic pundit at WaPo even used the word "bankrupt". They can't go bankrupt. lol.

I read the facts...

But the president has still not fully paid the bill for the last time he addressed a massive crowd on the Mall: his 2017 inauguration.

The Trump administration and Congress owe D.C. more than $7 million in expenses from Trump’s inauguration, according to federal and city financial records. The total cost of the four-day celebration, which culminated with a parade and gathering of roughly 600,000 people on the Mall, was $27.3 million.

The cost for Trump's inauguration went $7.3 million over estimates, according to The Hill.

City officials disputed the White House account on Friday, saying they had lobbied for additional funding both before the inauguration — when it was already clear the federal reimbursement would be insufficient — and afterward.
One cannot expect more from a grifter who avoids and hides his taxes but expects others to pay for his crap.

Let's see.
President Obama's first inauguration cost Washington, D.C. a total of $63.4 million, according to the city's Department of Transportation.
So according to the very standard you just set, Obama was the biggest grifter of all. I love that Democrat/WaPo double standard.

I knew you had it in you.

Let them deal with it. Maybe if they weren't providing millions in services to illegals, they'd have a larger security slush fund.

Not quite as outrageous as the Trump campaign and RNC. And they are not all that partisan about who they stiff. Appears that the GOP and Trump are not fiscally responsible.

"...Ten cities say the Trump campaign has not reimbursed them for public safety costs associated with his rallies, dating back to before his election in 2016, according to the Center for Public Integrity.

The cities — including Green Bay, Wisconsin; Erie, Pennsylvania; Lebanon, Ohio; and Mesa, Arizona — have submitted invoices totaling $841,219 to the Trump campaign. Those 10 invoices have not been paid, even though five of them date back to his 2016 campaign....

...The cities say the Trump campaign must pay the bills but in many cases, there were no signed contracts between his campaign and the city governments. Still, the cities believe he should reimburse them for the police protection needed to secure his events because the Secret Service explicitly asked for it.

Whether Trump is legally obligated to pay is unclear, but these unpaid bills can have a considerable effect on city budgets..."

Default Can't Get Over Losing....

Liberals just want to rain on everybody's parade. Seriously. Always looking for something negative to point out on an otherwise-positive holiday. Always pretending that President Trump has done something wrong when it's always someone in their own party that commits wrongdoing and gets away with it.

Hypocrites.

Well you have to figure that at some point the tax payer will end up paying for this entire show. Don't we always? Might as well run a proper audit and see how much the tally is going to run.
