How exactly do you stop two friends selling one another a gun out of their garage? Roughly a 1/3 or so of all firearms don't have a serial number and have been around since the 1800's.

How about we leave felons in jail instead of trying to control what they do after they get back out.

Thats a private garage sale loophole, one that needs closing by the banning of garages

Did the report mention where the U.S. government gets its guns/weapons?

I'm asking on behalf of Sandra Lee Scheuer, Daniel Shaver, and Nawar al-Awlaki (and tens of millions more).

Ban cars too. No cars = no need for garages.

You would first have to understand natural rights to determine which acts are violent and which are not.

Sliding out of a birthing canal makes one agree to buy a fishing license before they feed themselves according to you so I'm not sure you're up to the task when it comes to understanding such matters.

The impetus for gun control being a left vs. right issue comes from very high homicide rates in urban cities 30+ years ago.

Democrats found the perfect political solution (R's would have done the same) which is to not only pass the buck for the problem but to lay the blame at the feet of their political rivals.

In my home state of Illinois, the gun violence rate outside of the Chicago area is comparable to Canada. Yet guess whom gets blamed for Chicago gun crime? Yep, the rest of IL and Indiana for making guns available.

The problem there is that guns are not the root problem, but are easy to blame and best of all it costs NOTHING to do it! Gang diversion programs, pre-school programs, jobs programs for impoverished areas? Nah, those cost money....let's just blame guns and our political opponents.
