As I suspected, the pilot intentionally crashed the plane:

The motive is unknown but some point to personal problems. He was also politically active and terrorism cannot be excluded.

Mass murder. Why dont $100 million aircraft have $25 tracking devices?

Because the “FAA Approved Version” would cost $25,000 per plane.

Much like the German co-pilot that intentionally crashed his plane full of passengers a couple of years ago.

If true the label "terrorists" will likely get tossed around. Probably fairly.

We will never call those who placed shareholder value ahead of safety and killed nearly 350, terrorists though and it
would be as appropriate.

The French have decided he did it because he had complete control until the end including turns only he could have made. Okay, what about the co-pilot? Did the pilot kill him or was he clueless?
