I've quoted the law and posted the law. They have up to a year to legally apply for asylum regardless of how they got here.

You seem to want to pick and choose laws to enforce. Pretty common.

To apply for Asylum, file a Form I-589, Application for Asylum and for Withholding of Removal, within one year of your arrival to the United States.

Unless you are placed in removal proceedings following a conviction for illegal entry.

She fished for an answer and she had her ass handed to her. Why she stuttered in confusion before moving onto another witness.

That's way down the line. I've already covered that so I don't understand the point of bringing it up again.

It was a simple question. "Did you advocate for the separation policy"? If it's something good and something he supports why didn't he simply answer "yes"?

Once convicted, they are placed into removal proceedings. An NTA (Notice to Appear) is issued. That happens automatically. Any asylum claim will be rejected. We covered this before. Nothing happens way down the line.

If they try to file asylum before the conviction, the asylum claim is thrown out when placed in removal proceedings.

That's not how it works. I've provided the actual laws and circumstances.

It’s a gotcha question. Children are not put in jail with the parents. Homan answered the question spoiling AOCs gotcha moment.

That is how it works. I used to do that type of work. Before I went to the private sector.
