It's pretty evident that the government we have now is definitely what it is suppose to be.
The government we have now is definitely what it is supposed to be? Not quite... it's what the uneducated masses have allowed it to become. Read Article V if you don't like what's in the Constitution.

You said in another post that you haven't even reached college yet. I think you'll grow wiser with age and life experience.

I live in Virginia and my husband received his undergradute degree from VA Tech, so this hit home. Students carrying guns MIGHT have saved a few lives last April but more disclosure about the shooters mental history would have been a better defense.

That young man had no business being around others when he had such serious mental health concerns. There were many warning signs that went unnoticed or when they were reported to authorities were never addressed.

If he really did shoot someone, I doubt he'd be talking about it on internet forums.

now your post makes more sense, you simply don't believe him. i hope that you can go on believing that there is no need for self defense in your life. i hope that you and your family have a long and unmolested life. that is not true for many of us. your opinion that we, on the other hand, have no need for self defense, is not your call.

Haha. Alright. So, When I am paying 50,000 a year to attend a college, I don't have a say if there will be guns there.

Fair enough. (:

Do you realize you are advocating anarchy at its worst?
I stand by my opinion that your a scared bully who cant abide the idea that someone weaker than you has a right to defend themselves.
There are plenty of instances where an elderly person is QUITE strong...where WOMEN are quite strong. But "strength" isn't as important as having the ability to defend yourself. Ever hit someone in the throat? Doesn't take much. Ever have a kid step on your genitals? It hurts...even if they didn't intend to hurt you.

There are also cases where doctors will tell a patient that they'll never walk again...and they go on to run, or ski. Consider the case of Rocky Bleier.
Biography - His Story (http://www.rockybleier.com/story.html - broken link)

but I suppose you see him as "weak" and needing a gun to defend himself, eh?
