Most whites had nothing to do with slavery. The masses of European immigration came AFTER the civil war ended. Italians, Irish, Polish, Scandanavians, etc... - all are white but had nothing to do with slavery. But because they are "white" get blamed for it.

Blaming all "whites" for slavery is like blaming all "Asians" for the atrocities Ghengis Khan committed or the Japanese commited pre and during WWII. Even though Koreans, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc... had nothing to do with any of that.
