Yes, in many ways, the next Democratic president does scare me. I'm right in the middle and swing my votes and have no loyalty to any party. I actually would vote for Republican candidates since I like their finances better, but recently they are such bigots and with non-stop bigoted language.

Wow, who have you been listening to? Yes our president has made some pretty stupid and racial or bigoted statements in the past few days but where in Gods green earth are you getting the idea the party is bigoted and has made lots of bigoted statements? Give us some examples..

You like their finances better? They like them too, which is why they funnel it from the treasury to themselves with tax breaks for the top percent and take payola from Corporate America and Wall Street banksters in exchange for allowing their lobbyists to write policy.
Did you also like that Bush took Clinton's surplus and started two unpaid for wars which created a tremendous deficit? How did that work out for the USA's "finances?"
Do you like the "finances" of almost a half century of failed trickle down voodoo economics too?

Perhaps I’m butting in, but for me it’s due to the almost total silence from the GOP when Trump makes outrageous statements. If you support Trump unequivocally, and you do not step up to separate yourself from him when he makes statements like that, the logical conclusion that the public can make is that there is no difference between Donald Trump values and Republican Party values. For better or worse, he has recast the GOP in his image. A few have left the Party over Trump, but most have remained in a Party that is quite different than it was just a few years ago.

I just heard Mccarthy excusing his statements, McConnell and a very few others offered some Criticism but the response in general was lacking.

nmnita, see the above reply. Not hard to see that.
Here's the way I see it. I'm 67 now, so I'll be 72 when Trump is done and I'll be 80 by the time Nikki Haley finishes her two terms. After that I won't much care, so if the Dems get their heads screwed on straight and actually win, I can cash in on all their free stuff.
