Why aren't reparations for native Americans being discussed? Where is the PC crowd on this issue??

Quote:

California’s governor made history this week when he formally apologized to Native Americans, acknowledging the brutal genocide and “war of extermination” declared by the state’s first governor in 1851....

“This is all stolen land … We are landless Indians in our own territory,” said Corrina Gould, a spokesperson for the Confederated Villages of Lisjan/Ohlone, a tribe that originated in the region that is now the San Francisco Bay Area and is not federally recognized.
“The only compensation for land is land,” Gould added, quoting the Native author Winona LaDuke....

Shouldn't all the white people go back to the countries where they came from so the natives can have all of their land back?

Actually, everyone ... white, black, brown and everything in between should go back to Africa if we are going to play that game.

If all the stolen land from Native Americans is to return to them, then that technically includes all the land that Tribe A stole from Tribe B. I will admit that many tribes are deserving of the land that the White man stole from them. However, it is important to prove the reservation for that tribe did have their stolen. Let's not forget that false claims of land snatching are a real thing. How frequent they happen is anyone's guess but perhaps a bit more than many people may realize.

The Indians came over from Siberia approx. 10-12 thousand years ago. And they killed off the megafauna that existed in what is now North America, such as the wooly mammoth. There were also giant beavers and the like--all made extinct.

On behalf of the wooly mammoth, I demand an apology and reparations!!!!!

If people want to apologize, let them. It's their choice. I'm not apologizing for anyone or anything regarding race, culture, class, etc.

How can you go back to a country you weren't even born in, duh! There were no natives to this country/continent and there were no immigration laws when this land was discovered. The Amerindians migrated here just as the Europeans did. Everyone born here is a native there are no special ones. Silly argument.

I think the entire state should be handed over to the native peoples to run as they see fit.

And I'm certainly not responsible for what my distant relatives did or didn't do long ago. I owe no appologies for what long ago dead people did. We are all only responsible for our own actions. My ancestors didn't even come here till the early 1900's well after this country was established and they didn't harm anyone.

Can Trump sign and EO creating a separate nation-state in what was formerly California for native Americans before the election?
